Do I need to be home for a roof inspection?
You don't need to be home, and we don't need to come inside.
SkyView Restoration Group inspects your roof from the outside with a drone. We don't even have to climb on it. We photograph everything, put it into a report, and then meet with you when it works for you, including on Zoom or Google Meet. Homes and businesses.
- No one has to be home
- No one walks your roof
- Full photo report
- Review it on your schedule
Your inspection, start to finish
You make one request. We handle the rest from the outside of your property and then sit down with you when it's convenient.
Request your inspection
Fill out the form below, or call or text 866-321-VIEW (866-321-8439). Tell us about locked gates or dogs in the yard so we can plan.
We fly and document
Our team inspects your roof from the outside with a drone and takes ground-level photos. No one needs to be home and no one walks on your roof.

We organize every photo into a report: the full roof from above, each slope or section, close-ups, and anything that needs attention.
We meet when it works for you
We go over the report with you on Zoom, Google Meet, a phone call, or in person. You ask questions and keep a copy.

A better look at your roof, without anyone on it
Drones have become a standard tool for roof inspections across the roofing and insurance industries. Here's what that means for you.
No ladders, no roof walking
Steep, wet, and storm-damaged roofs are dangerous to walk. A drone keeps people on the ground.
No foot traffic on your roof
Walking on brittle shingles, clay tile, or a damaged membrane can cause new damage. A drone never touches it.
Every slope, every section
High-resolution photos from above show areas that are hard to see from a ladder, including the far side of steep roofs and the middle of large flat roofs.
Often under an hour on site
Many home roofs can be flown in well under an hour, with no ladder setup and no one tied up waiting.
Dated photos you can share
Drone photos carry the date they were taken, so your report shows exactly what your roof looked like and when.
Residential and commercial
Shingle, metal, tile, slate, and flat roofs on homes, apartment buildings, and commercial properties.

We bring the roof to you
After the inspection we put together a report with all of our photos and findings. Then we walk you through it, show you what we saw, and answer your questions. You don't need to know anything about roofing to follow along.
The report is yours to keep. If anyone asks what your roof looked like on the day we inspected it, you'll have the photos to show them.
Roof inspection FAQ
Do I need to be home for a roof inspection?
No. We inspect your roof from the outside, so you can be at work, out of town, or anywhere else. We'll let you know when we're coming and when we're done.
Do you need to come inside my home or business?
No. Everything is done from outside. If you've noticed a leak, a ceiling stain, or a drip, tell us when you request your inspection and send a photo if you can. That helps us know where to look.
Does anyone need to get on my roof?
In most cases, no. The drone gets high-resolution photos of the whole roof from above, so no one has to climb up or walk on it.
Do you inspect commercial buildings?
Yes. We inspect homes, apartment buildings, retail centers, offices, warehouses, churches, and other commercial properties, including large flat roofs and properties with several buildings.
How will I see the results?
We put all of our photos and findings into a report and then meet with you to go over it. That can be on Zoom, Google Meet, a phone call, or in person, whichever is easiest for you.
Is there anything I need to do before you come?
Just let us know about locked gates, dogs in the yard, or anything else we should know about getting around the outside of the property. That's it.
What if the weather is bad?
Drones can't fly safely in rain or high wind. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll reschedule and let you know the new time.
Can I share my report with someone else?
Yes. The report is yours. Share it with a family member, business partner, property manager, or anyone else who needs to see it.
